Meeting venue: CSC, Keilaranta 14, Keilaniemi, Espoo - Finland
Dear HPC-Europa2 visitor, SUSP member, HPC-Europa2 colleague,
We are pleased to invite you to the TAM (Transnational Access Meeting) to be held in Helsinki on June 15th – 17th 2010. All HPC-Europa2 visitors are invited to present the work that they have done during their visit, either as a poster or a talk. The main part of the TAM will take place on 16th-17th June. After two keynote talks, these days will be dedicated to the HPC-Europa2 visitors' presentations. Additionally we are pleased to offer an optional pre-conference technical workshop, for those who are interested in increasing their knowledge of multi-core programming and getting some "hands-on" experience.
TAM2010 Tutorial: More advanced features of the message-passing interface
Message-passing interface (MPI) is still the parallel programming model on parallel computers of all scales. This tutorial will cover several advanced features of MPI that may help users program such machines and architectures effectively and enables higher level of programming. Topics to be covered include user-defined communicators and datatypes, process topologies, and more exotic communication modes. The aim is that the attendees will obtain from the tutorial an understanding of how to use these features of MPI and guidelines on how they might perform on different platforms and architectures.
The tutorial will be given by Dr. Pekka Manninen and Dr. Sebastian von Alfthan from CSC.
Pre-registration is closed! (If your presentation is a poster, please, insert HPC-Europa2 logo and cite: The work has been performed under the HPC-EUROPA2 project (project number: 228398) with the support of the European Commission - Capacities Area - Research Infrastructures)
