Visitor success stories

Maxim Fedorov, a former visitor to EPCC, explains how his visit contributed to his group obtaining exciting new research results and how it also helped him to gain a professorship in the UK (click here).

Frank Winter, a former visitor to EPCC, tells us how his visit led to him obtaining a post-doc position in his former host department (click here).

Massimiliano Porrini, a former visitor to EPCC, tells us how his visit led to him obtaining a post-doc position in his former host department (click here).

Alexey Cheptsov, a former visitor to HLRS: 'I would like to encourage all researchers to participate at HPC-Europa, submit your applications, and convince yourself in all the benefits of this nice initiative' (click here).

Claudio Manzato, a former visitor to CSC: 'Visiting new places, made possible with the HPC-Europa project, is of fundamental importance because it gives the researcher a chance to exchange and acquire new ideas and methods' (click here).

Ivan Spisso, a former visitor to CINECA: ')I wish to acknowledge all the CINECA’s staff for the scientific and logistical support and the help provided during my visit' (click here).

Marco Smerieri, a former visitor to GENCI-CINES, explains how a part of his PhD thesis was done in collaboration with Dr. Dominique Costa in the frame of a HPC project (click here).

Olivier Yoann, a former visitor to CINECA: ')I wish to acknowledge all the CINECA’s staff for the scientific and logistical support and the help provided during my visit' (click here).

Pierre Henri, a former visitor to CINECA: 'I am deeply grateful to the CINECA staff and the HPC-EUROPA2 for having me given such a useful and efficient introduction to High Performance Computing. It showed me the way to cross the gap between serial simulations and the massively parallel ones in which I am involved now' (click here).

Riccardo Spezia, a former visitor to CINECA: 'The HPC-Europa program was very useful to provide the computing time needed for QM/MM simulations and we hope to have more computing time for simulating also the other solvents in the next calls' (click here).

Xufen Wu, a former visitor to SARA: 'The HPC-Europa project is very helpful for research students who work on numerical simulations. However the application instructions are not very clear on the computing time, especially for those applying for the first time. I was a bit confused on the wall-clock hours and HPC-Europa Access Units when I applied for my HPC project. It would be very helpful to specify the differences of these on the application documents' (click here).

Zakaria Meliani, a former visitor to GENCI-CINES, explains how a very active 3 days of work with a strong interaction with the CINES staff members help him in his research (click here).

The HPC-Europa2 project is funded by the European Commission - DG Research in the Seventh Framework Programme under grant agreement n° 228398
