EPCC - Host Departments

Most visitors to EPCC are hosted in research departments at Edinburgh University, or one of the other universities in central Scotland. However, it may be possible to be hosted further afield, for example in London, Cambridge or Oxford. Please note that additional conditions may apply in these cases, and you must provide evidence in your application of strong collaborative interests.

Visitors to host departments outside southern Scotland are asked to spend 1-2 weeks in Edinburgh at the start of their visit, in order to meet their EPCC contact and become familiar with our HPC systems and parallelisation techniques. Previous visitors have found this very useful.

The list below is not exclusive, but simply a list of research groups who have already hosted HPC-Europa visitors. New hosts can be added to this list at any time.

If you are interested in visiting a department which is not included in this list, please email us at access@hpc-europa.org and we will contact them with further information about the programme. However, please note that all applicants are strongly encouraged to contact their host directly too, to discuss the proposed project - this usually increases the chance of the project being accepted.

If you are a researcher interested in hosting a visit but whose name is not in the list below, please email your details to access@hpc-europa.org and we will add you.
