What should I do if I cannot find a suitable host research group before the application deadline?

First of all, we expect you to identify the best prospective host(s) for your visit, as you are the best person to judge the match of research interests (see Guidelines - Section 3. Your visit).

Should you fail to find anyone suitable, or even if you are unsure that you have made the right choice(s), please do not hesitate to contact us at access@hpc-europa.org and we will do our best to assist you in this task. When contacting us, please do not forget to include a short summary of your current research interests so that we can increase the chances of a good match.

If too little time is available to us to find a suitable host research group before the closing date for application, you should still proceed with your application, specifying as Host Researcher 1 "Host not yet identified". We will then use the time between the closing date and the Selection Panel review to try to identify a suitable host. As long as your project proposal is suitable for the programme, we normally succeed in finding a host in time for all applicants.

The HPC-Europa2 project is funded by the European Commission - DG Research in the Seventh Framework Programme under grant agreement n° 228398
